Senior Accountant
Corporate HQ (San Antonio, TX)
The Accountant role supports in carrying out responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting department. This position is based in OES’s headquarters facility in San Antonio, TX and involves daily interaction with the OES corporate HQ team.
Essential Functions
- Prepare and maintain financial records in company ERP system.
- Monthly expense recording, analysis, and reconciliation.
- Manage all billing and collections.
- AR transaction entries/invoices into ERP system.
- Code transactions to proper general ledger accounts.
- Manage preparation of the cash flow
- Assist Supply Chain Management Team with Inventory data management to support accurate invoicing records
- Prepare end of month inventory reports
- Perform inventory reconciliation ensuring general ledger is reconciled to physical counts
- Prepare journal entries and accruals.
- Manage monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist Corporate Controller with preparation of financial statements, as needed.
- Assist Corporate Controller with budget preparation and management, as needed.
Provide year end support to auditor’s requirements for the annual audits, which may include research and reconciliation of previous year data and supporting documents, as needed.
- Prepare special project analyses and additional assignments for senior management
- Communicate and coordinate with other members of the accounting team.
- Other duties as assigned by manager

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This position may require some after-hours work.

Ability to answer and talk on the phone displaying professionalism at all times. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Desired Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3 years accounting experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with ERP System preferred.
- Microsoft Great Plains experience preferred.
Spanish – Fluent, preferred.
